Pre-Entry Deadline: July 5. Add $5 per rider for entries postmarked after that date. Or avoid the late fee --- hand carry your entry to either Adventure's Edge store before July 20.

Adventure's Edge Arcata, 650 10th St.
Adventure's Edge Eureka, 125 W 5th St.

CAMPING: Absolutely NO CAMPING in Redwood Park. The city is very vigilant about enforcing its policy of no camping within city limits. There's KOA only 4 miles from the venue, and Clam Beach Campground is about 6 miles away.

VITAL INFO
RACE DAY SIGN-UP FROM 6AM TO 6:45 ONLY: $15 per rider race day late fee

NOTE: This is a partial list of rules and such. Complete rules at www.teambigfoot.net.

6 HOURS OF HUMBOLDT: It's for solos only. It starts with the 12 Hours at 8am and finishes at 2pm. Mileage from the 6 hours will count toward your Solo Cup mileage.

Racer Packet Pick-Up: Race-day packet pick-up for pre-registered riders is 6:00 to 7:30 am, BUT, we strongly urge racers to pick up their race packets the day before at Redwood Park from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Pits: The first 20 solos to register will have assigned parking spaces adjacent to the start finish. There is limited parking in the park's 2 lots (see map on the back of this flyer), so arrive early. and be prepared to pit on the Redwood Park Lawn. Late arrivers will be able to drive in to drop off supplies, but will need to park outside of the park.

Riders Meeting: All team captains must attend the 7:30am riders meeting and we strongly suggest that all riders attend too. Learn lap check-in, course details, rules, etc.

Start/Finish Time & Location: We'll start the race promptly at 8am. The start/finish is in Redwood Park adjacent to the playground.

Only laps COMPLETED by 8pm (for the 12 hour) or 2pm (for the 6 hour) will be counted.

Lap Counting: Each team will be provided with a wood "baton" that MUST be carried by the rider on course. A 15-minute penalty is assesed for a lost baton, in other words, your team's day will end at 7:45pm. Only one rider from your team is allowed on course at any time. At the finish line, upon the completion of each lap, the rider must stop to have that lap's finish time recorded.

Course: It's similar to what we used back in 2009, but with the new "Powerline Singletrack" and instead of the infamous climb up Trail #3, we'll access the adjacent private property for a gentler climb that includes some choice singletrack. Length is 7.7 miles with 1112' of climbing. Click here to see the course map.
Click here to see the GPS track and profile.
We'll use standard arrows and ribbon and such. The course will be marked by the afternoon of 7/21.

Self Sufficiency Rule: Once on course, only the rider him/herself may work on the bike, and only with tools and parts carried on the bike. Each lap mush be completed on the same bike on which it began. Once back at the finish line you can switch bikes, get help from your team or spectators or Santa Claus for that matter, but you gotta get there under your own power and with your own mechanical know-how and ingenuity.

Awards: We'll have Team Bigfoot Medals for top 3 in all categories. We'll also raffle off some cool sponsor schwag. The better you and your team do, the more raffle tickets you'll get.
