CLICK HERE TO SEE A VIDEO OF LAST YEARS KIRKWOOD NINE TO FIVE

COURSE: This will be a bit kinder and gentler and a bit longer than the course we used for the 2009 Kirkwood Nine to Five. The first half will be the same, but we'll eliminate the technical sections below Red Cliffs and bring the riders down to the parking lot near the Kirkwood Power Generating Station. The course then veers right, goes behind he playground and crosses the meadow and crosses Kirkwood Meadows Drive, passes through the neighborhood and then gets onto Dangberg Trail which brings the riders back behind Mountain Village and back to the Start/Finish.

WHERE IS IT? Kirkwood is located 30 miles from Tahoe and has a great course network for trail cross-country ski trails that when the snow is gone, make a great all singletrack mountain bike course! As you can see in the video above, the terrain is beautiful!

WHERE CAN WE STAY? There will be FREE camping in the pits the night before and the night of the race. Tent camping and car camping will be in Pit #1 (see course map), RVs, large vehicles or teams who want to set up a large pit area will be in Pit #2.

There will be restrooms open nearby, but sorry, no showers. Bring your sun shower.

The resort also has a full range of accomodations; condos, hotels, cabins and campgrounds. Camping is available right across the road from the venue. We're asking to be able to have RV camping in the parking lot near the start/finish, we'll let you know as soon as that gets the offical okie dokie.

HOW DOES AN ENDURANCE RACE WORK? It's simple, ride as many laps as you can between the start and the finish. In the event of a tie whoever completed that final lap first takes it. For teams only one rider can be on the course at a time and all rider changes must take place at the transition area near the finish line. Teams are free to rotate riders however they wish, there are no minimum number of laps per rider, you can do one lap at a time, two at a time or whatever you want. Simple, eh?

T-SHIRT: We're making something special for this event. The moon, the stars, the mysterious eyes in the darkness and Bigfoot's lights will all be glow-in-the dark. Take this shirt into the dark or under a black light and it will come to life.

Short Sleeve $20, Long Sleeve $25
