Saturday
May 26, 10:00AM

CHECK-IN: 7:30-9:30am: Pre-registered check and race-day sign-up and the start/finish are at the local high school, 321 Victory Lane, Weaverville. You'll like our venue. It has paved parking, real bathrooms and showers!

START TIME: All experts/pros start at 10:00AM sharp. We'll start all the sports a minute later and all of the beginners a minute after that.

COURSE: It's a big loop course with fun flowing single-track. Many of the trails follow the contour-line routes of the water flumes that brought water to the high pressure hoses used by the 1850's gold miners. Beginners get a 14-mile route. Sport/Expert/Pros get a full 23 miles of fun with about 2800' of climbing. There's one aid station with water, Hammer Gels, Hammer Heed on the beginner course, the sport/expert course has two aid stations.

AWARDS: Team Bigfoot medals to the top three. We'll also raffle off a bunch o' schwag from our sponsors. Each rider gets 1 ticket, winners get 3 more, 2nd place gets 2 more, 3rd place gets 1 more.

USA CYCLING?: We're giving them another chance. Our biggest issue in the past was that 1-day licensing was available only to beginners and sports, which often led to experts racing as sports. This year they're letting us do $5 one-day licenses for everyone. Some restrictions apply. Visit our rules webpage for details. In short, racers need to either have an annual USAC license or purchase a $5 one-day license. Remember that an annual license carries a racer injury insurance policy --- 1-day licenses do not.
