HILLCLIMB: It's free! It's tough! It's all about bragging rights. It's a 1-mile lung-searing leg-burning chug to the top of Bald Mountain. A $20 bill is tacked to a post at the top, first one there grabs it. Fun stuff!

SUPER-D : It's a lonnng one. We start at the top of Bald Mountain and send you down one of the most fun sections of the XC course. Last year's winning times were well over 20 minutes! Top finishes were had by all types of bikes, XC, DH & freeride...there's something for everybody. Each rider gets one run.

CROSS-COUNTRY: The cross-county course is a 60% / 40% mix of singletrack and fireroad with lotsa singletrack. Beginners will do about 14 miles, sports will do about 21, experts & pros will do 28 miles. All classes start at the same time. We put the pros in front, then the experts, sports, etc. It sorts itself out just fine.
SUPER-D : It's a lonnng one. We start at the top of Bald Mountain and send you down some of the XC course, some of the DH course and finish down in creek canyon. It's almost all downhill with one short level section and one very short climb.
Each rider gets one run.
DOWNHILL: Our downhill course has been called "world cup worthy." It has high speed stuff, a little bit of slower technical stuff and all the jumps and drops that the experts love, but with safe & sane outs for the beginners and sports. Best two of three format. Course will be open for practice on Saturday after the Super-D (probably 3pm or so) On race day we'll run shuttles with two trucks & trailers, and you're welcome to run your own shuttle too.
COURSE WORK: We'll have a few trail makin' sessions prior to the event. Here's your one way to get to pre-ride! To join in on a work day call Vic at (707) 845-3095 or e-mail teambigfoot@excite.com.
AWARDS & RAFFLE: Top 3 in each category get awards. After awards presentation we raffle off a table-load of sponsor scwhag. Each rider gets one raffle ticket, earn more tickets based on your finish.
To NORBA or not to NORBA?: Team Bigfoot likes to bring you good racin' without emptying your wallet. So, while we use NORBA's rules (gotta wear a helmet, gotta be self-sufficient & all that) we DON"T require a NORBA license.
CAMPING: There are campsites nearby, but sorry, but our land sponsors at Green Diamond Timber Company won't allow any overnight camping at the race site. Some folks ignored this in 2003 and camped along the dirt road between the race and Hwy 299 and got us in trouble with Green Diamond. Please, please don't endanger the future of this event.
